Emanuele Geda


Emanuele Geda holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. Since January 2012 he has worked as a software engineer and developer at the Institute for Cancer Research and Treatment of Candiolo (IRCC), Italy. He has been involved in the LAS (Laboratory Assistant Suite) project – a collaborative effort between IT specialists and biomedical researchers – since 2011. During his work he has modeled and implemented complex database systems for the management of biological samples, laying the foundations for a biobanking software platform. Furthermore he has designed and developed a system for managing the physical storage of biological materials within IRCC.
